Free Tutoring I am delighted to inform you that free tutoring is available for this class. Our tutors are excellent WVC philosophy students, who have all taken several classes in our department, including this one. What can a tutor
do for you? Tutors work with students one-on-one or in small groups. They can
help you with study skills. They can answer specific questions about the course
material. They can provide philosophical background information.
If your philosophy class requires papers, tutors can give
you ideas for papers. They can read your papers before you hand them in, and
provide comments and suggestions.
If your philosophy teacher gives you sample tests or self-tests, tutors
can review these
with you.
In our department, we have found that tutoring makes a huge difference
in students' grades and confidence! If you'd like some help or simply reassurance that you're on the right track, do yourself a favor: take advantage of this free service. The Tutorial Center is located in the West Valley College Library. All you have to do is make an appointment. You can
phone Tutorial Services at 408/741-2038. Or you
can visit the
WVC Tutorial Services
web site.
We want you to
succeed!
